13th April 2003 Windsurfing: Portland Wind Direction: E.S.E Wind Stength: 18knots Surf / Sea State: choppy Air Temperature: mild Sea Temperature: Ok Weather: Cloudy Rainy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started out early as time was limited . 18 knots just force 5 when I went out. Had some very good runs right from the off , nicely powered up on a well downhauld 6.7 ,nice and controlled over the small chop. Went in for a drink and to see if Sean had arrived and then back out to find the wind had dropped a fair bit and the chop had increased due to an incoming tide. This led to me struggling for a while underpowered and rapidly tiring , out off the harness slogging back in . Had a few more good runs in the gusty bits packed up for an early exit from a crowded Portland. |
